Buying A Piccolo

When it comes to recommending certain brands of piccolos, I can't go by experience in the same way I use experience when recommending a flute purchase. Only a few of my students get serious enough to invest in a piccolo.

I've been playing a Yamaha YPC-62 Professional Piccolo and my students have all bought either a Yamaha YPC-32 Standard Piccolo or Yamaha YPC-62 Professional Piccolo . We've been satisfied with these models.

Since my experience with purchasing different brands of piccolos is not as extensive as with flutes, I have asked other professional flutists for their recommendations which have been included on my Recommended Piccolos page.
